Your information

Privacy Policy

Plain answers about what this website collects, why, and where it goes. Last updated October 18, 2026.

What we collect

When you submit a quote request, fitment check, or appointment request, we collect what you type into the form: your name, email address, phone number, vehicle details, and your message. The time you gave consent to be contacted is recorded with the request. If you create a customer account, we store your email address and a password (held by our authentication provider in hashed form — we never see it).

What we use it for

To do what you asked: answer your request, verify fitment, prepare a written quote, schedule and perform service, and keep accurate records of that work. We contact you about your own requests — we don't send marketing blasts, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.

Where it lives

This website runs on Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (database and account sign-in), both processing data in the United States. When email notification of new requests is active, the delivery provider processes the message content needed to send it. These providers process data on our behalf to run the site — nothing more. If you use the optional “Decode VIN” button, the VIN you type is sent to the U.S. government's free NHTSA vehicle-decoder service to look up your truck's year, make and model. Looking up a VIN stores nothing; a VIN is saved only if you tick the consent box described under “Your VIN” below. “Scan VIN” (on browsers that support it) reads the barcode with your camera on your own device — the video never leaves it. If you tell us your truck under “My truck”, it is kept in your browser on this device (and in your account garage if you are signed in). To show whether a plow has a saved fit, or to build your truck's setup on Find My Plow, the site sends the truck's year, make, model and your answers to our server for that one lookup; we don't store it or link it to you unless you then submit a request. When you check a truck on Find My Plow, we also keep a simple count of the truck's year, make and model (nothing about you) so the shop knows which fits to add first.

Your VIN

Your VIN is saved only when you tick the box that says so on a request you submit (it is unticked by default). When saved, we keep the VIN, what the NHTSA decoder returned for it (only the fields we use to match parts, such as year, model, weight rating and headlight type), when it was decoded, and when you agreed. We use it to match the right BOSS parts to your truck, to keep your quote consistent, and to speed up your next request. It is visible only to our staff, never appears in a web address, search result, analytics event or public page, and is never sold or shared. We delete it automatically 24 months after our last activity on that request (when we send, revise or close the quote, or you accept or decline it; browsing and analytics never extend it). You can delete it sooner yourself from your quote status page, or ask us to by phone or on the contact page.

Cookies and analytics

Signed-in accounts use essential authentication cookies — that's what keeps you logged in. We don't run advertising trackers. If you click “Accept” on the analytics notice, Google Analytics (Google's free statistics service) also counts visits and uses its own cookies in your browser; if you click “No thanks” or ignore it, nothing from Google loads at all, and it is never used on the staff or account pages. We count site usage (such as page views and quote-request clicks) using our own first-party system that stores no names, emails, cookies, or IP addresses — just anonymous event counts that tell us which pages are useful. When you arrive, we also note only the general kind of source for that visit (for example “Google search”, “Bing search”, “another website” or “no referrer”) and keep it in your browser for that visit only, so we can tell which channels lead to quote and appointment requests. We never store the address of the page you came from, your search words, or anything that identifies you, and the source is not linked to your name or contact details.
