“Not listed by BOSS” means the manufacturer’s page we reviewed did not state that figure. Compatibility with a specific truck is a separate check — use Find my plow, and read BOSS plow families explained, straight blade vs. V-plow or the commercial buying guide to decide what you need.
How to choose between them
Where you plow
Tight driveways, open lots and long roads favour different blade styles. A V-plow can scoop, angle and cut; a straight blade is simpler. Compare the “Blade” column, then read the straight blade vs. V-plow guide.
What your truck can carry
The “Vehicle class” column is the manufacturer’s general guidance, not a fit check. Front-axle rating and the truck’s equipment decide what is actually suitable — confirm with Find my plow.
How much you plow
Contractors plowing every storm weigh trip style, wear parts and uptime more heavily than someone clearing one driveway.
Weight and attachment
Heavier plows put more load on the front end. The attachment system affects how quickly the plow goes on and off.
Total installed cost
Equipment is only one line. Mount, wiring, accessories and labor complete the price — see what goes into an installed price.
